Midnight Tuesday is the deadline for teams to offer salary arbitration to eligible free agents. It's a complex decision for clubs because the risk and the reward are both great. If the player is a Type A or Type B free agent and he signs elsewhere the team can get a first-round draft and compensation-round pick or a compensation-round pick, respectively. But if they miscalculate, and the player winds up accepting the offer, they could be stuck with an expensive veteran who wasn't in their plans for the next season.
We'll help you keep up with all the offers as they come in throughout the course of the day, then next Tuesday follow up when the players offered arbitration must decide whether to accept or decline.
Below is a team-by-team breakdown of players that were and were not offered arbitration.
(Editor's note: * -- indicates player is a Type-A free agent; # -- indicates player is a Type-B free agent.)
