Walter Sharpe, Robert Vaden Join D-League Draft Pool

The NBA Development League's Draft is still a week away, but a source has told FanHouse that the draft pool's list already includes Walter Sharpe (pictured) and Robert Vaden as players eligible to be selected in the November 1 draft which will be held via conference call.

Sharpe, selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics, is a 24-year-old power forward out of the University of Alabama-Birmingham who had his rights traded to the Detroit Pistons for D.J. White and Trent Plaisted on draft night. The Pistons didn't have much use for Sharpe, however, and he played in just eight games with Detroit during his rookie season.

Sharpe was traded to the Denver Nuggets following his rookie season, but the Nuggets decided to flip him to the Milwaukee Bucks for Malik Allen just two weeks later. Sharpe was unable to make the Bucks roster out of training camp for the 2009-10 season and has been out of professional basketball for an entire year.
